Today looks to be a big day for HTC leaks. According to leakers speaking to Bloomberg, HTC will be sharing its newest smartwatch offering at the Mobile World Congress next week. The apparent wearable device is said to be based on Qualcomm’s Toq smartwatch.
If the HTC smartwatch prototype keeps to the Toq’s specifications it should have a Mirasol touchscreen, wireless charging and the ability to take calls, control music and calendar data and will also have text messaging abilities, although the latter should probably be read only.
According to Bloomberg‘s source, who is described as “…a person with direct knowledge of the plans” the company has, HTC is working on two other smartphone offerings, one channelling the power of Google Now. The other is thought to be a music-playing bracelet, whatever that means.
