We recently reported on Apple’s latest iPhone leak, and we’ve picked up on some reports that the tech giant’s latest smartphone might just be unveiled sooner than expected.
According to a report by Reuters, Apple will unveil their latest iPhone later this year in August, a month earlier than what most industry leaders were expecting.
Citing Taiwanese media with inside information gained from anonymous supply-chain sources, the iPhone 6 hitting shelves later this year in August will sport a 4.7 inch screen, and a 5.5 or 5.6 inch screen version will be released later in September.
Apparently the increase in screen size is an attempt by Apple to better compete in the smartphone world of 4+ inch screen sizes, a la Samsung.
So far no official word from Apple, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
