BlackBerry’s rumoured A10, which has been sighted on and off for some time, has turned up again. The handset leaked recently in a video which, unfortunately, has since been pulled off YouTube. While it was available the video showed an unknown BlackBerry-branded handset running BlackBerry 10, believed to be the company’s upcoming Aristo A10 handset.
But, last week a report from BGR claimed to have more specific details concerning the Aristo, laying out specifications for the phone’s display and some vague information about the handset’s internals.
The A10 will reportedly be launching later this year and will feature a 720p 5-inch Super AMOLED display (1280 x 720). The apparent screen resolution is somewhat concerning since competing handsets this size often feature 1080p displays. The internals are less clear, being an unspecified dual-core processor and a separate graphics unit.
BlackBerry has not yet confirmed any of this and the handset might just be an early prototype but, as it stands, the Aristo isn’t looking as good as it could.
UPDATE: More specs for the BlackBerry A10 have reportedly surfaced, via CrackBerry. The earlier display seems to be on the money but the processor will apparently be a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Pro. The handset is supposed to feature 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8MP and 2MP rear and front camera and LTE/NFC connectivity with the whole unit powered by a 2800mAh battery.
