Garmin Southern Africa announced today something which has been a long time coming, free map updates for life with the purchase of Garmin devices that are preloaded with City Navigator Southern Africa.
The free map updates only apply to specific GPS units from Garmin at this point, the nüvi 40LM, nüvi 50LM, nüvi 2495LMT, nüvi 2595LMT, nüvi 3490LMT, and nüvi 3590LMT bundles. Users will receive a nüMaps Lifetime SA card when buying one of the specified models new, which then has to be redeemed online in order to receive Garmin’s updates for life.
