Google looks to be slowly expanding the reach of their Glass Explorer program, provided you live in the States, are over 18 and happen to know someone who already has access to one of Google’s Glass units.
The search company has started sending emails to Glass Explorer participants allowing them to invite one other person into the program but there are a few restrictions in addition to the ones mentioned above.
Prospective new users will have to be able to afford the $1,500 (R14,800) price tag for the Glass unit and they will have to be able to personally collect their hardware from Google in Los Angeles, New York or San Francisco. Obviously the increased availability of Glass won’t be seen this side of the ocean for a while yet but every step brings it a little closer to home.
