Look at your phone. Now look back at the screen. Tell us which handset you think looks prettier.
Unless you’re rocking an iPhone 6 or have manged to somehow nab a Samsung Galaxy S6 or HTC One M9, then we’d bet money on the above G4 render out-classing your smartphone.
A concept video showing off a render (read: an interpretation based on leaks) of the LG G4 has been created by Croatian designer Ivo Marić, and has been shared by French site Nowhereelse.fr.
Marić has taken leaked render images, also picked up by the French site, and turned them into a video showing us what the final product could look like. And boy, do we like what we see.
The G4 appears to take the curved design of its G Flex 2 cousin, along with minimal bezels and an aluminium frame. The rear looks like it’s covered in classy leather (hopefully genuine, unlike the Note 4’s faux-leather rear), confirming previous rumours that the G4 will miss out on all metal build. This would likely mean that it’ll retain a removable battery and microSD slot, which is good news for power users let down by the lack of both options in Samsung’s new flagships.
Where the video differs from the leaked images, is in the camera department. Previous images have depicted a familiar looking camera with a circular lens, while the video shows a protruding, square-sensor camera instead. Artistic license? Perhaps, but it still looks good to us.
The LG G4 is expected to arrive with a 5.3in 3K screen, Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB of RAM and a 16MP camera. A release date is even more unclear, but “it may release in April.”
As ever, we’ll bring you the latest G4 news as and when we hear it.
