Huawei has an event planned for 18 June this year but the star of the show may have made a premature appearance.
Images of the previously-leaked Huawei Ascend P6 have cropped up online, an extremely thin handset that is said to have a profile of a mere 6.2mm. If this is in fact the case, and the image leaked by @evleaks suggest that it is, the Ascend P6 is a contender for the thinnest phone in the world.
Huawei Device Chairman Richard Yu has reportedly confirmed that the device pictured above is part of the P-series and that it will be unveiled at the June event. The confirming post has since been deleted.
The P6 is speculated to feature a quad-core 1.5GHz CPU, 2GB of RAM and Android Jelly Bean. An 8 megapixel camera and a 4.7-inch 720p display are also thought to be part of Huawei’s as-yet unconfirmed device.
