There is a possibility that Apple’s new handset, whether it’s known at the iPhone 6S or the iPhone 7, will be arriving a little earlier than usual this year.
At least, that’s the feeling of analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities, who has sent out a research note to his clients saying that Apple might be conducting a reveal event for their upcoming handset in August this year. If that is the case, we could see the iPhone whatever showing up in stores as soon as September.
That’d be unusual for Apple, whose reveal events have typically taken place in September. Kuo has been off on his timing in the past but there’s more to his research note.
The note, which was first spotted by The China Post, also claims that Foxconn will be making the majority of Apple’s new phones – in the region of 60 to 70%. They’re also apparently going to be the only company creating the expected 12.9-inch iPad that we keep hearing about.
So, will a Force Touch-enabled iPhone be landing early this year? At least one analyst seems to think so and Apple isn’t saying anything. We’re actually going to wait on something official, thanks.
