Lucasfilm has suspended work on the 3D versions of Star Wars Episodes II and III, which were supposed to release in theaters later this year, in order to focus on the J.J. Abrams-directed Star Wars Episode VII.
Lucasfilm have confirmed via a statement on the official Star Wars website that the 3D re-releases have been postponed while they “…focus 100 percent of our efforts on Star Wars: Episode VII in order to ensure the best possible experience for our fans.”
Disney-owned Lucasfilm has said that they will be providing details on the releases of the postponed projects at an unspecified later date.
