The wearables race, on the fitness front, is hotting up further as several leaks indicate that Adidas is looking to juice up the market with a whole new wearable that is aimed at the likes of Nike’s FuelBand. The company already has the miCoach SmartRun but another wrist-based gadget, called the miCoach Fit Smart, looks to be on the way.
At least, that is the story told by leaks at the FCC and trademark info found at LegalForce, with images coming courtesy of Keller Sports.
Details on the band are sketchy, with no official specs or functions making up the leaked info but it will feature Bluetooth 4.0 LE as a communications standard and an LED dot display. That much is obvious from the images and we’ve also got a rather good idea what it will look like when something official is announced.
Until more details are forthcoming, we’ll just be keeping our eyes open. One thing’s for sure, fitness nuts are going to have a whole lot of tracking options in the next few months.
