Local Apple distributor Core Group have announced the RRP (recommended retail pricing) for the latest batch of Apple laptops.
The two 11″ Macbook Air units will clock in at R10,499 and R11,999, the difference between the two being 64GB and 128GB flash storage. Both come fitted with a 1.7GHz Core i5, 4GB of RAM, 1 Thunderbolt port, 2 USB 3.0 ports and an Intel HD Graphics 4000 accelerator.
The four flavours of 13″ Macbook Air will run from R12.999 to R16,599. Two of these (R12,999 and R16,499) feature 1.8GHz Core i5 CPUs, sharing specs with the 11″ model and with either 64Gb or 128Gb of flash storage. The remaining two (R12,999 and R16,599) have 2.5GHz and 2.9GHz Core i5’s at their heart and either 500GB or 750Gb of conventional hard drive space.
Lastly, the four 15″ models will set you back from R19,999 to R29,999. The pricier versions will have Retina LED-backlit displays with IPS technology and between 256GB and 512GB of flash storage, as well as 8GB of RAM. Most the features from the smaller notebooks are shared among the 15 inchers, but all will use NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M GPUs.
