Twitter is thought to be working on a substantial change to the way that user profiles look, a test that seems to be confined to a limited number of random profiles at present. One of these profiles belongs to the assistant features editor at Mashable Matt Petronzio who is reported to have seen and captured the possible changes that Twitter is considering.
We’ve seen in the past that Twitter has tested out features, upgrades and changes in the field, so to speak, and the profile page revamp, along with a very different look for Petronzio’s tweet stream, looks to be one of these tests. A new section for photos and videos, as well as the redesigned profile and the less-than-vertical collection of tweets make the alterations look a lot closer to Facebook than the Twitter that users are used to.
Twitter has so far refused to comment on the tweaks and what they mean for users.
