It’s been a long time in coming but WeChat, the messaging service in competition with the likes of WhatsApp and Mxit, have rolled out a client designed specifically for the Mac platform.
This is the seventh platform that WeChat has been made available on and Mac users with OSX 10.7 or above can now download the app. WeChat says that the app can be “accessed via a QR code scan, taking users directly to a clean interface” which will sync with their smartphone version. It is, of course, multi-platform because there would be little point to it otherwise.
WeChat for Mac is now available for download from WeChat’s website.
